Even as a child, one of the most thrilling activities was launching handmade paper airplanes. We crafted these aircraft ourselves, and some would soar far across the room, while others barely made it a few feet. Regardless, the activity was endlessly exciting and entertaining. We could spend hours engaged in this simple pleasure, and the more inventive among us experimented with adding tails, fenders, and other features to mimic real aircraft. Of course, these modifications often slowed the flight rather than extended it, but that didn't dampen our enthusiasm. Nostalgia for those days makes me wish we could go back and send a paper airplane on an unforgettable airborne adventure once more. Though we may not relive those moments, we can still launch paper airplanes today—it's just a matter of starting the next fun challenge.
